The next rock god,the world today, and spontanious human combustion.....

The song "Pardon Me"is in my opinion one of the best rock songs
of all time.Mixed with a classic fusion of scratching,alternative,and hard rock plus the
passionate vocals of brandon Boyd.It makes for a sound the that is Incubus.Inspired by
what he saw in a bookstore magazine article(obviously about spontanious human combustion)
,Boyd took it from there.In the song he sings about the stress' that livin in a world like
this one can do.At times combusting seems like a very welcoming alternative.I for one,can
relate.

Songs of the Week!

This weeks song of the week is "sweetness" from Jimmy Eat World. It's a great song that....... well, kicks ass! It's off their new album "Bleed American". As an overall listening object this cd get 10 stars! You cant get enough of the bands originality! so check it out! Heres mandy!......

Well. . OK the last entry about my favorite song "Warning" by Incubus was actually written by Chelynne trying to pretend she was me. . not an easy thing to succeed in so I will rewrite it myself, typos and all. . .My favorite song is Warning because its a song that sorta relaxes me when I am angry or stressed out. Incubus's music gives off a very smooth, pleasant vibe. Its not too hard but then its not too soft also it definitly fits my liking and I strongly suggest that anyone who has not had a chance to listen to theyre latest album "Morning View" to do so! I am a large Incubus fan. I am not going to say that they are my alltime favorite band and I am definitly not going to call Brandon Boyd a rock God or say they are the biggest rock legonds but theyre pretty cool because other then music they are awesome artists(drawing, painting, etc.) If you want to check out some of theyre work go to my page(mandys menagerie) or go to www.incubusonline.com.

If you were to read the list of what we were listening to you would see a band you may or may not be familiar with. Candy Run.Now I personally know the band due to the fact that well I go to school with them, and am in drama club with the lead guitarist.Now around here we have a ton of awesome undergroundish bands.Most of them still either living at home or not traveling very far with their music.This is a shame because with such bands as Perfect Attendence,Floater, and Kustem.The fact that they go on being farely unknown.So I will try my best to keep you up to date on what going on in the music scene locally.
